interview with the straggler

I did an interview for an art zine from denver, colorado called the straggler. Thank you Casey Jeffers for making this happen!

prompt: There is a large birthday cake monster with spider legs chained to the ground devouring the birthday boy who is still clutching his presents. Dancing around the event in a circular fashion much like a jungle tribe ritual are a bunch of dinner plates and utensils with arms, legs, spears, bone nose piercings, and tribal tattoos. Perhaps throw any background items or random things that would help set the setting and atmosphere like grass huts or a fire pit, your choice there.

Recently I started doing live art shows with the punk band Honest Iago. This piece was done yesterday at the Zombie Lounge in San Diego. I will be performing with the band at the same place again on March 7th around 8:30/9 PM. Please come and support us.

drawing with maggie au

This weekend I went home for an early Chinese New Years dinner. I had to chance to draw with my little cousin, Maggie Au. My cousin has a little sketch pad where she draws pictures of her family. She drew a picture of her mom, her dad, about 10 pictures of our grandma. She's definitely going to be a great artist one day.
